Chief Engineer Electrical

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and control RTA Facilities to the highest standards and carry out client buildings and maintenance works.
2. Experienced in buildings, facilities projects.
3. Actively contribute to the annual budget implementation, evaluate, and recommend specific adjustments during the implementation to projects/activities needs.
4. Ensure the timely submission of business measurable objectives to the concern supervisor.
5. Design, implement, supervise, and control the preventive and corrective maintenance programs of all client facilities and equipment.
6. Develop maintenance operations & policies & procedures required for carrying out & controlling maintenance works.
7. Ensure proper integration and coordination with maintenance plans and works followed and carried out for all disciplines.
8. Ensure the right selections of all building materials since this decision will directly affect the cost of future maintenance by close coordination with Planning & Design Section during the design phase.
9. Ensure smooth and efficient handing over of buildings & facilities constructed under the supervision of Projects Execution Section by close coordination and active collaboration during execution.
10. Ensure the proper decisions had been made in a building's design to use long-lasting materials and equipment, to reduce maintenance and repair requirements.
11. Ensure the proper construction or installation to improve satisfactory performance from the outset, reduce maintenance, and repair requirements.

Requirements:

1. Implementing a plan to improve the methods of determining professional staffing required for field-level facilities management.
2. Allocate, supervise, and control Maintenance and engineering outsourcing contractors to provide a standard level of facility in terms of operations.
3. Develop procedures for programming and budgeting for operation and maintenance works.
4. Ensure the effective use of diagnostic techniques for determining the need for maintenance and repair.
5. Establish a direct link between the maintenance and operations plan and the entity's mission, goals, and objectives, as they relate to maintenance.
6. Ensure to extend the life and improve the capability of building systems and equipment to perform at their maximum potential.
7. Improve work methods and procedures to increase the productivity of the maintenance personnel and reduce call back and overtime of maintenance personnel.
8. Select the most cost-effective method of maintenance, i.e., outsourced contracts versus plant forces - when and what to privatize.
9. Maintain sufficient management information systems to allow analysis and audit of maintenance functions.
10. Provide related progress status and issues and prepare reports to the concerned supervisor/manager.
11. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position when appropriate.
