Job Title:

Senior Project Engineer

Key roles and responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all aspects of the construction projects from inception to completion ensuring quality safety and timely delivery.
Establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other necessary documents.
Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project.
Review and check plan specifications, contracts, engineers' notes, engineering computations, and cost estimates for projects of substantial difficulty.
Provide effective onsite leadership and supervision to construction teams, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
Monitor project budgets, costs, and expenditures ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
Work with other engineers and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project.
Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure construction activities meet industry standards and project specifications.
Develop and maintain project schedules ensuring that milestones and deadlines are met.
Monitor contractor performance pertaining to schedule and conformance to plans and specifications.
Facilitate clear and concise communication between project stakeholders including consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
Address and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the construction process ensuring minimal impact on project timelines.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
Monitor and report the progress of all project activities within the program including significant milestones and any conditions which would affect project cost or schedule.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Verify and maintain appropriate records and files; prepare comprehensive technical reports related to assignments.
Attend various meetings as a representative of the Engineering Department.
Inspect and evaluate ongoing projects to ensure compliance with plans and specifications; conduct surveys and/or assist survey personnel in obtaining field data and conducting a variety of tests for compliance purposes.
Responsible for the confidentiality, security, and safekeeping of the properties and documents.

Experience and Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or construction-related technical field
5 years of related construction phase experience is required
Incumbent should have a broad general technical and business background related to various construction projects such as buildings, infrastructure, interiors, and structural repair works.
Professional registration may also be required.
Capability in preparing drawings using AutoCAD, scheduling using Primavera P6, and ongoing monitoring and driving of projects with well-ordered and logical sequence;
Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards.
Proven ability to perform in a management capacity excellent written and oral communications.
Strong eye for detail coupled with a methodical and organized approach;
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills will be well utilized, and your ability to develop internal and external working relationships is essential.
