Job Description - Business Development Manager-Global Accounts

Responsible for liaising, handling, following up, negotiating, Proposing, and facilitating company activities within Global Accounts. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful business with Global Accounts, in accordance to GA playbooks and Account Management processes.

Protect, maintain, and enhance the company reputation amongst Global Accounts stakeholders and influencers by providing a regular interface and communication for the organization with Global Accounts senior level personnel. Advises and supports on the business development of the Company in order to grow the business on sustainable economic terms and conditions.

Proactively pursue business within global accounts through initiating new business opportunities and working with global accounts AE’s to generate new opportunities within new or existing global accounts, with the aim of achieving Global Accounts sales targets.

KEY RESULTS AREAS (RESPONSIBILITIES):

Global Accounts Activities

  • BD and sales activities within global accounts. Proactively work on creating and following up on opportunities independently and in coordination with other internal stakeholders
  • Proposals, technical and commercial design documentation for global accounts, in accordance to company processes and procedures towards successful achievement of sales targets within global accounts.
  • Good relations with Global Accounts stakeholders in order to conduct smooth and efficient business dealings with these accounts.
  • The processes of the interaction with the global accounts to ensure the timely and accurate execution of all transactions/activities.
  • As a liaison with global accounts to ensure that Company affairs are handled expediently and that a good relationship is maintained / built, in line with Convergint’s AE’s and Global Accounts teams and expedite the processing of designing and proposing to ensure that they are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
  • Advice, guidance, and assistance regarding global accounts related matters to ensure that all colleagues understand the requirements of global accounts, especially when it comes to finance, engineering, maintenance department and other stakeholders.
  • An updated in-depth understanding of government laws within the operating territory of target global accounts, keeping abreast of the changes and advising the leadership, whenever appropriate, on the best and right government practices global accounts government relations transactions /activities and analyze legislation and regulations which may impact the global accounts operations and alerts management in order to analyze alternatives and undertake appropriate action.

Business Development – Global Accounts

  • Opportunities for campaigns, events, services and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in leads and the subsequent closing of such leads, industry, social and non-profit events to build relationships and identify new opportunities
  • Arrangement of business development meetings with prospective clients
  • Research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Business meetings with prospective clients of quotations and negotiate the same with the clients in the initial conception stage along with a client in order to better meet the needs of the client and to translate those expectations to colleagues
  • Deliver progress reports, proposal status and presentations to the Directors, marketing team to develop brand and content strategy, product offering and form industry level strategic alliances with marketing and leadership on developing presentations and pitches for global accounts.
  • Reach out to Global Accounts leaders within the organization to actively penetrate into global accounts.
  • Unique ideas for marketing and sales strategies to grow business with Global Accounts coordinator to ensure LSP’s and Accounts are onboarded and updated on the CRM to update accounts, opportunities, manage pipelines, and close leads.
  • Accounts targeted should be mainly but not exclusively covering the MEA territory leads and ensure they are coordinated with all related stakeholders within MEA CTC and elsewhere within Convergint.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 years' prior industry related business development experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
  • Focused and goal-oriented
  • Must have experience in the security system Industry with strong technical knowledge of the system
