Job Description - Head of Medical/Head of Employee Benefits

What this job is really like:

This role entails leading the Employee Benefits team to handle Group Life and medical insurance business.

 

Jobholders are typically responsible for:

This job will typically be measured with the following KPI’s

Overall responsibility of heading EB dept. with an objective to achieve department business targets, guiding, training & motivating the team and ensure that all the procedures are followed.

Work as per the guidance provided by Vice President – Sharjah branch to lead the department.

 

· Performance Review (PR) will be based on volume of business converted – Annual commission Target AED 6.5 Million.

 

Renewals - Ensuring that all the renewal procedures are followed to submit renewal and alternative quotes to clients as per agreed timelines with best competitive price to achieve highest renewal retention ratio. Applying the best negotiation/placement strategies to achieve the objective.

 

· Renewal retention ratio of 90% to be achieved.

· Major clients– 100% retention to be achieved

New Business - Ensuring all new business enquiries are attended in Timely manner to release best quotations matching client’s requirements to achieve highest conversions ratio. Applying the best negotiation/placement strategies to achieve the objective.

·30% conversion ratio to be achieved

· TAT of 3-4 Working days for SME and 5-7 Working days for Large Corporates

Ensuring best customer servicing of key accounts to ensure highest customer satisfaction.

· No complaints from clients

Endorsements - To ensure that all mails pertaining to New business enquiries, renewals, Endorsements & Claims are answered within the stipulated time frame and solution is provided within least agreed Time frame.

· PR will be based on replying to mails within a day and solution to be provided within TAT.

Claims - To ensure that reimbursement claims for all clients are settled as per agreed TATs. Also ensure that all the approvals are arranged

PR will be based on claims settlement within 10-12 Working days.

Ensure Endorsement handling in a timely manner to arrange necessary coverage as per the client’s requirements.

PR will be based on handling the endorsements.

Endt = 10 working days

Cards = 5-7 working days

Develop excellent relationship with insurers at all levels to achieve corporate objectives of better terms, wider cover for clients in order to achieve our business targets.

 

· As per feedback from Insurers/Customers/Marketing Staff

Maintain excellelent relationship with existing Direct clients by visiting them on a regular basis and providing them best service to retain them with us.  

· As per feedback from customers.

 

Assisting Marketing Staff for client meetings when required to present our terms to clients, understand their requirements and helping to achieve desired target premium to win business.

· PR will based on conversion ratio achieved and feedback from marketing staff.

 

Identify opportunities to cross sell/upsel and ensuring that clients are provided with proper advice and options to medical coverage.

· PR will be based on the additional policies taken by clients through cross sell/ up sell.

 

Ensuring high degree of accuracy in checking of policy documents and releasing the same on time.

 

· Accuracy of documents

Ensuring compliance with IA/DHA/DOH regulations as applicable.

· PR will be based on knowledge of the rules and regulations and compliance.

 

Assist accounts team in collection of outstanding/due premiums.

· PR based on collections with specified period.

 

Ensure highest levels of systems, efficiency and professionalism.

 

· PR based on feedback of internal staff and customers.
