Manager - Program Assurance & Advisory Services

Job Purpose - The Manager of Program Assurance & Advisory Services will develop and lead Program Assurance and Advisory Services engagements. This will include reviewing processes to ensure ongoing assurance on project governance for strategic initiatives, in line with audit standards and industry best practices.

Program Assurance

Provide a comprehensive overview of project(s), contextualizing findings, and implement Program Assurance review to ensure that the project is meeting its objectives.

2. Evaluate program/project progress, performance, and conduct stage gate reviews.

3. Execute regular program/project health checks to identify performance gaps and challenges.

4. Maintain and enhance the Program Assurance Framework.

5. Conduct Program Assurance reviews, consulting engagements, and management requests, ensuring thorough engagement scope and accurate conclusions.

6. Manage resource planning for Program Assurance tasks and special assignments.

7. Oversee engagement progress and address any issues with the team leader.

8. Adhere to Group Internal Audit methodology, documenting processes and ensuring quality evidence review.

9. Ensure accurate documentation of issues and recommendations within the central working papers repository (IRMS).

10. Apply appropriate methodology to identify control weaknesses and align them with the engagement objectives.

11. Communicate engagement results to management and document findings and prepare reports.

12. Follow up on recommendations implementation.

13. Conduct business process control reviews for adequacy and effectiveness.

14. Liaise with various stakeholders to support Program Assurance objectives.

15. Uphold ethical standards and comply with international auditing standards and IIA Code of Ethics.

16. Coordinate with External Auditors and facilitate their work, if required.

17.Prepare reports and accompanying management presentations with highest quality.

Advisory Services:

1. Responsible for assessing risk management practices and evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls within the organization. This involves identifying areas of significant business risk and implementing best practices aligned with internal audit standards.

2. Provide insights, recommendations, and best practices to improve governance, risk management, business, and control processes. Collaborate with management and other stakeholders to enhance the organization’s overall risk posture.

3. Assist with developing policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure organization’s policies align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

4. Maintain independence and objectivity while performing advisory engagements.

5. Communicate the advisory services offered as valuable insights that contribute to the overall success of the organization and position internal audit as a credible partner in achieving organizational goals.

Experience Required- Minimum 5 years of experience in Auditing, Advisory Services, or Program Assurance, with 5+ years in audit process management.

•Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic, high performing environment.

•Proficiency in data analysis and analytical tools.

•Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.

Education Required - Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Accounting

•CA/CIA/CPA or related field preferred.

Experience Desired-Professional certification (CIA, CMA, CISA) or PMP advantageous.

•Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification, and/or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification would be advantageous
