Medical Underwriter

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Review: Evaluate medical insurance applications received from clients and agents to determine the insurability of individuals or groups.
• Underwriting Guidelines: Apply established underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures to make informed decisions on acceptance, modification, or rejection of insurance applications.
• Quotation : Preparing Quotations for Individual and Group Medical on different portals. Assess client’s preexisting conditions and suggest good insurance plans.
• Communication: Interact strongly with Insurance companies, agents, clients to gather necessary information, clarify details, and request additional documentation as needed and get the things done in a timely manner.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as claims, sales, and customer service, to ensure a smooth underwriting process and efficient customer service.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Health Sciences, Nursing, Medicine, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Medical Underwriter in the insurance industry, preferably in the UAE.
• In-depth understanding of medical & Insurance terminology, health conditions, and risk factors.
• Knowledge of insurance regulations, underwriting guidelines, and industry practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong communication skills.
