Job Description & Summary

A career within International Tax Services will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC address their cross border tax needs both locally and globally by managing their global tax rates, finding areas of cost reduction, and responding to inquiries from regulatory authorities. You’ll gain a global perspective and an awareness of tax issues stemming from changes to evolving business structures and geographic expansions. Our International Tax Services Generalist - Practice Support team advises PwC Client Services team advises clients on tax laws and reporting, legislation and planning strategies based on the geography and jurisdiction. You’ll be assisting our team with local tax laws, reporting requirements, statutory filings, corporate strategy, transfer pricing and indirect tax and other international taxation needs.

Job overview:

As part of the Tax Transformation and Technology, you will join a team of skilled tax and technology professionals focused on standardizing and enhancing tax-related data and processes through innovative technology solutions.

Your responsibilities will include improving and optimizing client internal processes related to direct taxes, identifying relevant data points in client data sources and aiding in the selection and integration of the most suitable technology solutions, whether through ERP system enhancements or specialized add-ons like Longview or OneSource Tax Provisioning.

You will help design and implement tools and processes specific to BEPS Pillar Two tax needs while collaborating closely with our global network of tax advisory and consulting teams. This role demands a proactive, innovative mindset and a commitment to delivering cutting-edge tax technology solutions to some of the most challenging tax

Tax Technology Senior Associate profile

About you:

  • Minimum 2 years or relevant working experience either in accounting or technology and finance.

  • You have a good understanding of accounting and overall direct tax processes.

  • Knowledge of the data requirements and the associated challenges, and be able to articulate this to clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Discuss the different solutions and how to use ancillary technology to automate/streamline the process.

  • Experience with direct tax technology implementation is a bonus: Oracle TRCS, Longview, OneSource, OneStream, Orbitax, SAP PaPm, Anaplan or similar solutions.

  • You are able to bridge the gap between IT and Tax professionals tackling complex issues in a simple and understandable way.

  • Ability to analyze complex tax issues, identify potential risks and opportunities, and develop innovative tax technology solutions to address them.

  • Given the evolving nature of tax regulations and technology trends, the candidate should demonstrate a willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new tools and methodologies.

  • You are a team player who loves collaborating with people from around the world.

  • You are fluent in English.

Tax Technology Manager profile

About you:

  • Minimum 6 years or relevant working experience either in tax accounting or technology and finance.

  • You have a proven track record of managing engagements and teams.

  • You are able to work under demanding deadlines and client expectations.

  • You have the entrepreneurial spirit and you are able to identify new opportunities and offerings.

  • Knowledge of the data requirements and the associated challenges, and be able to articulate this to clients and internal stakeholders.

  • A professional qualification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CA (Chartered Accountant), or CTA (Chartered Tax Adviser).

  • Strong understanding of international taxation principles, particularly in the context of BEPS and Pillar 2 regulations. Knowledge of transfer pricing, country-by-country reporting, and other tax compliance requirements.

  • Previous experience in tax technology implementation projects, tax process automation, or tax advisory services focusing on technology solutions would be advantageous.

  • Programming skills, particularly in languages commonly used in data analysis such as Python, R, or SQL. Ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights for tax reporting and compliance purposes.

  • Good understanding of accounting (IFRS)

About the team:

  • You will work with a team of tax and tax technology specialists that automate direct tax operations and implement or develop technology solutions.

  • You will be part of business development activities to grow our team and offerings.

  • You will have an active client facing role to tackle complex direct tax operation issues and advice on which technology is most suited (ERP, Tax software) or other tailor-made solutions.

  • You will provide both functional requirements for implementation but also design high-level architecture solutions.

  • You will work alongside the PwC network and collaborate to implement technology solutions such as ERP implementation, tax reporting softwares or consolidation tools.
