The Project

Mace is appointed to provide Project Management services for a strategic client in the delivery (design and construction) of a luxury residential tower in Dubai.

The project is in the process of procuring the main contract and will be expected to complete by Q1 2028. We are searching for a Graduate / Assistant Commercial Manager to support our Project Management team in conjunction with the commencement of the construction phase.

Responsibilities

You'll be responsible for:

1. Playing a key support role in the performance of all operations from a commercial and financial perspective.
2. Collecting and collating data for preparing project performance reports and recommendations for the project leadership.
3. Understand, implement, and comment on the commercial management plans contained in the Project Execution Plan.
4. Monitoring, reviewing, and keeping relevant parties informed on the timeliness, cost, revenue, risk, progress, and performance of various aspects/packages of the project.
5. Liaising with the construction team to facilitate commercial processes and operations.
6. Support the procurement of provisional sum packages.
7. Develop a working relationship with Cost Consultant and Contractor.
8. Familiarize yourself and comply with company policies and procedures in relation to legal, financial, and administration matters - the standard of internal control and policies.
9. Setting out a personal development plan.

Requirements

You'll need to have:

• Experience in commercial management, MENA experience is not essential.
• Understanding of the fundamental rules of measurement.
• Been involved with post-contract works.
• A fair working knowledge of the FIDIC suite of construction contracts.
• A desire to strengthen skills in contract administration.
• Ability to earn the trust and respect of colleagues.
• Effective communication skills – strong in verbal and written English is essential.
• Acts with the highest standards of integrity and makes safety a priority.
• Operates in a manner that constantly improves performance.
• Sets high standards and delivers high-quality work that improves our reputation.
• Ability to build strong relationships with all management levels.
• Proactively looks for ways to add value to our service offering.

Educational Qualifications

You'll also have:

• Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) from an accredited, internationally recognized institution or University.
• Working towards MRICS or equivalent.
