The Social Media Manager/Content Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the university's social media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, engage with prospective and current students, alumni, and other stakeholders, and drive traffic to the university's digital platforms. This role involves creating compelling content, managing social media channels, analyzing performance metrics, and staying abreast of social media trends in the higher education sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible to create content at the university with the phone/camera
- Social Media Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the university's goals and objectives.
- Content Creation: Create engaging and relevant content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and others, to promote university events, achievements, programs, and initiatives.
- Content Calendar Management: Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure a consistent posting schedule and timely delivery of content.
- Community Engagement: Foster meaningful interactions with the university's social media community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
- Brand Management: Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all social media channels, adhering to the university's brand guidelines.
- Campaign Management: Plan and execute social media campaigns to support recruitment efforts, fundraising initiatives, and other university objectives.
- Social Media Advertising: Develop and manage paid advertising campaigns on social media platforms to increase reach, engagement, and conversions.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor social media metrics and analytics to track the performance of campaigns and content, and use insights to optimize strategy and drive continuous improvement.
- Stay Updated on Trends: Stay informed about emerging trends, tools, and best practices in social media marketing and higher education, and propose innovative strategies to enhance the university's online presence.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other university departments, including marketing, admissions, alumni relations, and student services, to align social media efforts with broader institutional goals.
