Waiter / Waitress 

As Waiter / Waitress, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Greet guests and talk to them in a polite and pleasant manner, presents them with the menu and answer questions • Inform guests about the special items for the day and menu changes if any.  
• Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods, suggest food and beverages to the guest and upsell products.  
• Write food & Beverage orders from customers on order slips, memorize orders, enter orders into POS for transmittal to kitchen & Bar staff.
• Completing the service checklist and maintaining equipment.
• Serving food and beverages as per company standard.
• Hands-on and present at all times during peak hours.
• Ensuring cleaning procedures in your area are followed, as per company standards.
• Ensuring that the front of the house is kept clean and organized at all times.
• Following cash handling procedures and cash register policies.
• Communicate to the guest and provide assistance with their queries.
• Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any complaints/ problem
• Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters take them to the Kitchen for cleaning
• Obtaining revenues: issuing receipts, accepting payments, returning the change.
• Clean tables or counters after customers have finished dining, always maintain a clean work surface behind counters
• Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor/Floor Manager
• Co-ordinate with the Trainee, kitchen staff, barista staff to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
• Observes guests and ensure their satisfaction with the food and service.
• Promptly respond to guest with any additional request.
• Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.
