Phoenix Childrens is hiring a Clinical Supervisor for our EAST VALLEY Surgery Center! This is a great opportunity for a clinical nurse with strong leadership skills to manage a team of nurses who work in the OR and Preop/PACU. The surgery center is responsible for the following type of procedures: general orthopedics, ophthalmology, plastics, ENT, ENDO and urology.

This position is unique because it is 100% outpatient, M - F, No Call, Holidays or Weekends! The surgery center is located on Southern Ave in Mesa.

The Clinical Supervisor coordinates shift operational flow in conjunction with organizational and departmental strategic goals, objectives, and standards and is the hospital s clinical representative/resource for patients, families, and the healthcare team, at both the unit and organization levels. This position provides clinical leadership of patient care services and directs supervision of nursing and support staff to ensure consistent provision of developmentally appropriate quality patient care in accordance with all applicable federal, regulatory, professional standards and requirements. Provides clinical leadership with accountability in promoting quality patient care and an engaging work environment, during assigned shift.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 2 - 5 years leadership experience, in a surgery center environment. Incumbent will work closely with the outpatient surgery center at the Main hospital, as well as provide support when the East Valley hospital opens in 2023.

Certifications

• Current Arizona RN license or RN Compact license with multi state privileges, and in compliance with the Arizona State Board of Nursing licensure requirements.
  
• Current BLS provider from the American Heart Association.
  
• Current PALS or NRP provider from the American Heart Association or must obtain before employment
  
• Current and valid nursing certification in clinical nursing expertise required or must be able to obtain within one year of eligibility.
  

Education

• Associate degree in nursing or bachelors degree in nursing.
  

Experience

• Two years nursing experience or demonstrated competence in bedside nursing role.
