Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Oral Medicine to join our team. As a Consultant in Oral Medicine at SearchPlus HR, you will play a pivotal role in providing specialized care for patients with oral diseases and disorders.
In this position, you will diagnose and manage a range of oral conditions, including oral ulcers, oral cancers, and temporomandibular joint disorders. You will conduct thorough patient evaluations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide ongoing oral medicine care. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals is crucial to ensure comprehensive patient management.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' medical history, symptoms, and perform comprehensive oral examinations
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as oral biopsies, imaging studies, and salivary gland function tests
- Diagnose and manage various oral conditions, including oral ulcers, oral cancers, and temporomandibular joint disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans for each patient, including medication management and oral health recommendations
- Perform minor oral surgical procedures, such as biopsies and lesion removal
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
- Stay updated on the latest advancements and research in the field of oral medicine through continuous learning and professional development
Requirements
- Degree in Dentistry and valid license to practice as a Consultant in Oral Medicine
- Proven experience in diagnosing and managing various oral conditions
- Strong knowledge of oral medicine principles, practices, and treatment options
- Expertise in interpreting diagnostic tests, such as biopsies and imaging studies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both with patients and colleagues
- Detail-oriented mindset and ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address complex oral conditions
