Integration and Support Specialist

Position Summary

As a Healthcare Integration and Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between healthcare systems and technology solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain integration solutions that facilitate seamless data exchange between various healthcare applications, ensuring interoperability and efficient information flow, supporting end users in daily operational issues, and conducting end user trainings

Summary of Main Duties

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design integration solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of healthcare systems and applications.

•           Utilize your expertise in integration technologies and programming languages to develop, configure, and deploy integration solutions, adhering to industry standards and best practices.

•           Articulate, Analyze and Adapt to the Work-flow issues by suitably getting the exact impact analysis of work functions of the user-departments in order to further assess the inter-dependency of functions.

•           Undertake the Gap Analysis of present application systems compared with the expected system features.

•           Conduct comprehensive testing of integration solutions to ensure reliability, data accuracy, and system compatibility across different healthcare platforms.

•           Proactively identify and resolve integration-related issues, working closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors to troubleshoot technical challenges and optimize system performance.

Responsibilities

Document integration processes, configurations, and technical specifications, and contribute to the development of knowledge repositories and training materials to enhance team capabilities.

•           Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, and implement security measures to safeguard sensitive healthcare data during transmission and storage.

•           Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and interoperability standards in healthcare IT, and propose innovative solutions to enhance integration capabilities and drive operational efficiency.

•           Provide first line of support and troubleshooting for issues related to HIS application.

•           Participate in the implementation of information system/s.

•           Test any configuration, customization or update of hospital information systems.

•           Conduct customer-oriented training workshops.

Position Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or related field.
• At least 4 years proven experience working as an integration specialist or similar role in the healthcare industry.
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare standards and protocols such as HL7, FHIR, ASTM, DICOM, and CCD.
• Working Experience in different data formats such as JSON, XML.
  Working Experience in REST APIs, web services, and database connections.

Position criteria Other Skills/Abilities

• Proficiency in at least one integration middleware platforms (e.g., Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, IRIS Health) and programming languages (e.g., C#, Java, JavaScript, SQL).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
