Overview of the role:

To ensure that the assigned paint repair jobs are executed in line with Principle’s established work procedures and specifications, time standards and housekeeping standards so that the overall objectives of productivity and quality are met or exceeded

What you will do:

• Operations-Execute assigned jobs according to principle’s established work procedures, specification and time standards.
• Quality: Provide quality workmanship for customer satisfaction. Minimise repeat jobs which lead to loss of time and material.
• Comply with the BYD Quality Management System and participate with organization’s improvement activities

Safety and Housekeeping –

• Ensure use of safety equipment/gear and follow all safety and environmental conservation procedures
• Ensure cleanliness of the workplace, tools, equipment and of the customer’s car being serviced.
• Carry out work with care ensuring not to endanger the life either of themselves or others by theirs acts or omissions whilst complying with health and safety requirements of the company and preventing any harm to the environment.
• Time management – Planning and scheduling when assigned with multiple jobs
• Carry out level 1 repair and above.
• Surface preparation II (Complex surface)
  1. Filler (putty) application and sanding
  2. Primer surfacer application and sanding
  3. Masking methods
  • Paint composition and characteristic
  1. Paint composition and characteristic
  2. Paint film quality due to spraying condition
  3. Spot repair mehtods of metallic & coat mica
  • Color matching II
  1. Toyoyta OEM color system
  2. Color matching metallic and 2 coat mica
  3. Computerized color matching
  • Plastic parts surface treatment and painting
  1. Plastic parts repair knowledge (ABS, PP, etc.)
  2. Plastic parts painting
  3. Plastic bumper repair and painting
• Training and Developments – Keep up with new technology, work procedures, time standards and relevant technical know-how to maintain or improve work productivity and quality.

• Perform other tasks assigned by immediate superior or manager, if necessary, Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, Perform all duties and responsibilities mentioned in the related business SOP.

Required skills to be successful:

• Ability to identify problem areas and identify its cure.
• Ability to carry out level 1 & level 2 diagnosis and repair 

About the Team:

Reporting to Team Leader, you will be working in a dynamic and busy EV After Sales environment.

What Equips You For The Role:

• 3 to 5 years overall experience with automotive industry, preferably in a similar service role related with EV’s.
