Collecting and interpreting patient information to perform assessments and diagnoses.
Developing and implementing treatment plans for a range of mental illnesses such as anxiety, depression, personality, and behavioral disorders, phobias, post-traumatic stress, and more.
Monitoring patients’ progress and liaising with other healthcare professionals to adjust treatment plans as required.
Facilitating group and one-on-one counseling sessions.
Maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests, and/or treatments prescribed, and test results.
Constantly expanding your knowledge of psychiatric disorders by attending conferences, completing additional courses, and networking with other mental health professionals.
Observing the appropriate workplace and health and safety guidelines at all times.
Communicate with nurses and other medical staff to ensure patients receive best possible care
Maintain current knowledge of trends in area of expertise
Communicate treatment plans and home care instructions to patients
Share findings with the entire medical team, and communicate treatment options internally and with patients, family members, and caregivers
Monitor and track patient progress, adjusting treatment plans, medications, and considering referrals as appropriate
Prescribing or administering medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
Referring patients to other medical specialists, when necessary.
Providing support and advice to patients receiving long-term care.
Conducting research into the testing and development of new medications, methods of treatment, or procedures to prevent or control illness, disease, or injury.
Participates equitably in the on-call roster.
Participates in the oversight and professional developments of any junior medical staff in the departments.
Participate in the educational activities of the medical staff as a whole.
Conducts clinical audit in line with medical advisory committee requirements.
Participate in review and planning activities relevant to the development of the department and of the healthcare facility.
Participate in activities and opportunities to promote the department and Al Futtaim Health to the general public and wider medical community of the UAE.
Fulfils professional requirements for continuing maintenance of competency in all aspects of Psychiatry.

Develop & administer healthcare management plans in consultation with patients and in line with current treatment and management protocols.
Provide holistic care and health education.
Carry out comprehensive and systematic assessments of patients and manage them based on clinical guidelines and evidence based practice.
Work alongside and maintain good communication channels with other specialist services to optimize patient care and treatment outcomes.
Prescribing in accordance with the practice based system, guidelines and protocols.
Undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with Psychiatry working alongside primary care providers.

What qualifies you for the role
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
Doctorate of Medicine from an accredited institution AND Completion of specialty qualification recognized by Dubai Health Authority or Health Authority of Abu Dhabi or Ministry of Health UAE
Minimum 5+ years relevant experience at a specialist level, since gaining higher qualification.
