As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:


  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients and basic cooking tasks under the supervision of senior kitchen staff.
  • Learn and execute culinary techniques for a variety of dishes in all-day dining and in-room dining.
  • Provide support to different kitchen stations as needed, ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils.
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions for dish improvement and new menu items.
  • Execute tasks with precision to meet established quality and presentation standards.
  • Assist in quality checks to ensure consistency in food taste, texture, and appearance.
  • Follow hygiene and sanitation protocols to uphold a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Actively engage in training programs to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
  • Seek guidance from senior kitchen staff to expand skills and proficiency.
  • Collaborate with fellow kitchen team members to ensure efficient and coordinated service.
  • Communicate effectively to contribute to a positive and cohesive kitchen environment.
  • Assist in accommodating guest requests and preferences, maintaining a customer-focused approach.
  • Demonstrate a professional and approachable demeanor when interacting with guests.

Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:


  • Basic culinary education or relevant coursework from a recognized culinary institution.
  • Entry-level position with a willingness to learn and grow in a culinary role.
  • Previous kitchen experience or internship is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of kitchen procedures, food safety, and food preparation.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop culinary techniques.
  • Ability to adapt to the fast-paced and dynamic nature of kitchen operations.
  • Willingness to take on different tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Good communication skills to effectively work with team members and follow instructions.
  • Adherence to strict hygiene and safety standards, including basic knowledge of HACCP principles.
  • Positive attitude and a collaborative mindset to work well within a team environment.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about the culinary field, demonstrating a commitment to growth and improvement.
  • Attention to detail in executing tasks, following recipes, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
  • Willingness to take initiative in learning and contributing to the overall success of the kitchen team.
