Job Description - Estimator

Overview of the role:

Ensure and prepare estimates that maximise Customer Retention and profitability

 

What you will do: 

  • Execute assigned jobs according to established work standards, specifications and required time.
  • Observe professional decorum and hospitality with the customer and with the co-employee
  • Maintain the discipline of the service establishment through strict adherence of company rules, regulations and procedures
  • Collect all necessary and reliable information from the customer to support evaluation and assessment on damaged vehicle
  • Evaluate and assess customer’s damaged vehicle and prepare estimation report provided with list of repair, labour cost and other necessary expenses
  • Exercise care with customer property while it is under the organization's control or being used by the organization
  • Verify reliability of product or parts information in the Audatex System
  • Coordinate with insurance company to finalize estimates based from the result of survey on the damaged vehicle
  • Keep up with new technology, work procedures, time standards and relevant technical know-how to maintain or improve work productivity and quality.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by immediate superior or manager, if necessary
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities mentioned in the related business SOPs
  • Comply with the ALAC Quality Management System and participate with organization’s improvement activities
  • Carry out work with care ensuring not to endanger the life either of themselves or others by theirs acts or omissions whilst complying with health and safety requirements of the company and preventing any harm to the environment. 

Skills

Required skills to be successful:

  • Estimation experience in the Bodyshop 
  • Planning, organising and executing
  • Team work
  • Good systems knowledge preferably with SAP

 

About the Team:

This role will be reporting to the Bodyshop Manager wherein you will be dealing directly with different Stakeholders across the Workshop.

 

What equips you for the role:

  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Automobile)
  • 2-3 years of exprience in a similar role from a reputed automobile workshop 
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Knowledgeable in Bodyshop and service
