Job Description - Reservations Agent

Job Description:

As a Reservations Agent, your primary responsibility will be to assist customers in making travel arrangements and reservations for accommodations, transportation, and activities. You will be the main point of contact for customers, ensuring their booking process is smooth and efficient. Your duties will include answering phone calls, responding to emails, and providing information on available options and pricing. Additionally, you will need to update and maintain reservation records, process payments, and confirm bookings with customers. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming reservation requests via phone, email, or online platforms.
  • Ensure accuracy of guest information and booking details in the reservation system.
  • Confirm reservations with guests and provide booking confirmations.
  • Assist in resolving any issues or concerns related to reservations or bookings.
  • Monitor room availability and make recommendations for maximizing occupancy.
  • Process reservations changes, cancellations, and updates in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as housekeeping or front desk, to ensure smooth guest check-in and check-out processes.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures regarding reservations and guest interactions.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all guests and address any inquiries or complaints promptly.
  • Stay updated on hotel services, amenities, and promotions to effectively communicate with guests during the reservation process.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in using computer reservation systems and booking software
