Planning Engineer

• Developing maintaining and updating project schedules using tools like Gantt charts PERT charts or critical path method (CPM) to ensure timely completion of tasks and milestones
  
• Determining resource requirements (human financial materials) for each phase of the project and coordinating with relevant departments or stakeholders to allocate resources appropriately
  
• Identifying potential risks and uncertainties that could affect project timelines or budgets and developing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact
  
• Collaborating with project managers and finance teams to estimate project costs accurately and develop budgets for various project activities
  
• Tracking project progress against established schedules and milestones analyzing variances and preparing regular progress reports for project stakeholders
  
• Facilitating communication and collaboration among project team members stakeholders and external vendors or contractors to ensure alignment and smooth workflow
  
• Assessing the impact of proposed changes to project scope schedule or resources and implementing necessary adjustments while minimizing disruption to project objectives
  
• Implementing quality control measures to ensure that project deliverables meet established standards and specifications
  
• Maintaining accurate and uptodate project documentation including schedules resource plans risk registers and other relevant records
  
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the project planning and execution framework to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Profession or an Engineering related field.
  
• 7 10 years relevant experience
  
• Proficient in the use of Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  
• Demonstrable experience of liaison with consultants on multiple construction contracts
  
• Fluent in spoken and written English and able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
