Job Description - Assistant Technical Procurement Officer

Job description / Role

• Responsible for sourcing and expediting activities to ensure purchasing activities for meeting the requirements are executed in company’s best interest • To assist Tech Procurement team in ensuring that all allocated Purchase Requisitions (PRs) are actioned at the earliest in accordance with established policies, procedures and practices in order to ensure availability of right material at right place. • To liaise with Tech Procurement Officers, supervisors and requesters in company on all AOG requirements and related matters. • To ensure staying within the compliances and guidelines of all QA requirements for company for all Parts/Material requirements. • Expedite procurement processes by ensuring timely receipt of materials, following up with vendors on all orders status and disputes. Prepares and reviews reports on outstanding unprocessed items and timely follow up on long open items. • Attend weekly internal meetings to ensure that order receiving discrepancies are reviewed and cleared on timely manner. Review status of all exchange and loan orders to ensure on times closure. • Negotiates preferred supplier discounts and effect cost reductions. • Assist in verifying vendor accounts and reconciling monthly statement related transactions & Manage supplier invoices and ensure invoice discrepancies are taken care of and cleared in coordination with Finance Department and Suppliers. • Assist Tech Procurement Officers in preparation of periodical reports of outstanding PR/PO.

Requirements

• 2 - 3 years’ experience in procurement, materials management, or logistics environment. • Minimum Diploma, ideally in Business administration or Science or Engineering. • Must be organized, proactive and able to work under pressure. • Strong verbal and written Communication skills • Strong planning, organizing, and integration skills • Meticulous attention to detail • Strong drive to grow capabilities
