Job Description - Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a Logistic Coordinator to join our team in Dubai to support the efficient operations of the logistics department. This position involves a wide range of responsibilities including coordinating various logistics activities involved in the planning, control, and movement of materials and products. Attention to detail, organizational skills, work ethics and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.

  • Assist the Logistics Team in various aspects of logistics operations.Coordinate and schedule shipments, monitoring their progress from origin to destination.
  • Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs declarations, in compliance with regulations and customs requirements.
  • Liaise with carriers and freight forwarders to receive regular updates on shipments and monthly vessels’ schedules.
  • Request freight quotations as and when needed.
  • Ensure timely receipt of freight invoices and credit notes, verifying charges against agreed terms and rates.
  • Utilize logistics IT software to track shipments, update the logistics tracker, and promptly communicate any changes in shipping schedules to all concerned departments.
  • Work closely with the procurement and warehouse teams to ensure seamless coordination across all supply chain operations.
  • Archive all shipping documents, freight quotations, purchase orders, and relevant information for each shipment the monthly report on the logistics carbon footprint data.
  • Insurance Report for monthly shipments.
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new practices and procedures.
  • Compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all logistics activities.

Requirements

  • Degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in logistics operations, with at least 3-5 years of experience In a similar role.
  • Understanding of logistics processes, including transportation modes, international shipping and customs regulations
  • Good knowledge of computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office and logistics software.
  • To work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • To detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Communication skills, both verbal and written.
