Job Description: Workshop Superintendent (Oil and Gas Fabrication Industry) Location: United Arab Emirates (UAE) Salary: AED 15,000 - 20,000 per month About Us: We are a prominent player in the oil and gas industry, specializing in fabrication services for offshore and onshore projects. As we continue to grow our operations, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Workshop Superintendent to oversee our fabrication workshop in the UAE. Role Overview: As the Workshop Superintendent, you will be responsible for the overall management and operations of our fabrication workshop. You will lead a team of skilled technicians and craftsmen to ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of fabrication projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Key Responsibilities:
Workshop Management:
Oversee all activities within the fabrication workshop, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times.
Optimize workshop efficiency and productivity through effective planning and organization.
Team Leadership:
Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of technicians, welders, fabricators, and other workshop personnel.
Provide guidance and support to employees, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
Project Coordination:
Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to plan and execute fabrication projects according to client specifications and deadlines.
Monitor project progress and identify any potential issues or delays, taking proactive measures to address them effectively.
Ensure that all fabrication work meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Resource Allocation:
Allocate manpower, equipment, and materials efficiently to meet project demands and optimize resource utilization.
Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and supplies for fabrication activities.
Monitor inventory levels and manage stock levels to minimize waste and maintain adequate supplies.
Health and Safety:
Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations and best practices.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
Investigate accidents and incidents, and develop preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
Quality Assurance:
Implement quality control procedures to ensure that fabricated products meet industry standards and client requirements.
Conduct inspections and tests throughout the fabrication process to identify defects and deviations from specifications.
Document quality issues and non-conformities, and take corrective actions to address them promptly.
