Role Overview:

The Battery Product & Applications Technical Specialist ensures the successful introduction and integration of new products into the Middle East business by delivering highly specialized technical support.

What you’ll do:

1. Subject Matter Expertise and Knowledge Transfer: Build personal knowledge of Aggreko's new products and aspire to become a subject matter expert. Guide and influence local technical teams, transferring knowledge and building capabilities. Support the Learning team with design and delivery of training solutions.
2. Technical Support and Customer Excellence: Elevate the business’s customer experience by delivering expert assistance in addressing technical inquiries, contributing to the development of documented guidance, troubleshooting, and resolving issues, as well as optimizing performance during the new product introduction and infancy care period. Conduct rigorous testing, validation, and documentation of solutions, with a specific emphasis on performing failure analysis and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for new products.
3. Collaboration and Project Implementation: Liaise with Aggreko sales, technicians, and management to provide technical solutions, and lead project implementation in early mobilizations or first-of-a-kind projects, with emphasis on design, commissioning, and knowledge transfer.
4. Promote Green Solutions: Lead site and project delivery of hybridized and low emission solutions, setting an example for greener upgrades and ensuring success for customers.
5. Technical Drawings: Interpret, modify, and create layout, arrangement, and technical drawings using CAD and sketch tools. Analyze technical drawings to establish parameters for safe and efficient solutions.
6. Health, Safety and Continuous Improvement: Specialize in understanding the risks associated with new power products. Ensure compliance with Aggreko HSE policies and procedures. Provide feedback and contribute to the continuous improvement of products and integration processes.

You’ll have the following skills and experience:

• University degree or above, science and engineering background (prefer one of below: Electrical, Thermal energy and power, Measurement and control technology and instruments)
• Minimum 5-7 years product technical hands-on experience in electrical engineering
• Proven experience on Battery Energy Storage products
• Should have very good analytical skills
• Understanding of AC and DC power, 3 phase system, components
• Should possess a good knowledge of manufacturing & qualification processes for Battery Energy Storage solutions, comprehensive understanding of electrochemical energy storage theories and battery technology from the ground up
• Robust technical proficiency with an exceptional mastery, specifically concentrated on emerging products. Familiarity with greener energy solutions, and emerging trends in the industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Growth mindset, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Dedication to safety, quality, and customer experience, coupled with a familiarity with industry regulations and standards
• In-depth understanding of factors critical for successful new product introduction and integration. Possesses basic project management skills
• Proficient in the use of CAD and Sketch tools
