Job Description - Laundry Operations Manager

Job summary

Job seniority: director level and above
Responsibilities
• Management of day to day operations. • Supervise and support staff engaged in cleaning, pressing and delivery activities. • Hold pre-shift meetings to ensure that the Laundry team is aware of the day’s tasks, safety of the day and any other miscellaneous information to ensure successful operations. • Maintain adequate supply of inventory levels, anticipating demands, controlling production, and maintaining necessary chemicals and supplies. • Set up and administer Preventive Maintenance Program for all laundry equipment. • Order parts and maintain critical inventories required for continuing mechanical operations. • Work Supply Chain Manager for boiler chemical vendor, softener supplier and other support mechanical vendors as required. • Support and maintain overarching production efficiencies and productivity. • Overarching budget, forecasting and financial responsibility • Train and motivate other team members and insure best practices are implemented • Liaise with all internal and external stakeholders and provide excellent level of service at all times • Implement and develop LEAN within the organization • Collaborate with the HR Team and implement team structure and maintain the required headcount. • Receive, investigate and follow-up on all customer complaints. • Inspect facilities and equipment to ensure operating conditions are at acceptable levels • Write and update SOPs for various jobs, machines and operations within the shops and production facility.
Requirements
• Confident and self-motivated • Eager to learn and develop themselves. • Microsoft office proficient • Ability to prioritise workload, work to deadlines and work independently as well as a part of a team • Strong problem-solving skills • Knowledge of business financial management • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills • Qualification(s) in LEAN • Experience in a strategic production/manufacturing environment. • Bachelor's degree in business management, manufacturing or something similar • 10 Years' experience in LEAN manufacturing
