Team Leader / Quality Controller

The Team Leader - Mechanical is a skilled and experienced professional responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles. They are tasked with handling complex mechanical and electrical issues, supervising junior technicians, and ensuring high-quality service to customers.

Experience as a Quality Controller with responsibility for ensuring that all repair and maintenance services meet the dealership's and manufacturer's quality standards is an advantage. They play a crucial role in inspecting completed work, identifying quality issues, and implementing corrective measures to maintain high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Vehicle Diagnostics and Repair:

Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.

Perform major and minor repairs, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical system repairs.

Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and develop repair plans.

Supervision and Mentorship:

Supervise and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance, training, and technical support.

Review the work of junior technicians to ensure quality and adherence to safety standards.

Assist in solving technical challenges and provide on-the-job training as necessary.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure all repairs meet dealership and manufacturer standards for quality and safety.

Conduct thorough post-repair inspections to verify the completeness and correctness of repairs.

Address and rectify any issues or defects identified during inspections.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

Maintain detailed records of repairs, including parts used, labor hours, and diagnostic findings.

Complete repair orders and document all work performed accurately and comprehensively.

Collaborate with the service advisor and parts department to ensure accurate billing and parts ordering.

Technical Expertise:

Stay updated on the latest automotive technology, tools, and repair techniques through continuous training.

Assist in researching and implementing new diagnostic tools and equipment to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Provide technical expertise and guidance to other technicians and staff members.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Follow dealership and manufacturer standards and guidelines for repairs and service procedures.

Ensure the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials and waste generated during repairs.

Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate effectively with other departments, such as parts and service, to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.

Communicate effectively with service advisors, providing updates on repair progress and any additional work required.

Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.

Key Qualifications:

Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a similar role with luxury automotive vehicles.

Bachelor / Diploma in Automobile Engineering / Mechanical.

Must have UAE work experience.

Must have valid UAE Driver's License.
