Business Development Manager

JOB OBJECTIVE:

Working closely with VP Business Development to achieve growth for the company. Lead projects from initiation to execution for new connections, Bid submission and Greenfield/M&A projects within the framework of investment mandate as delegated by the Board.

Business development:

• Continuously review market opportunities in the region
• Take part in commercial negotiations with potential clients Identify and source connection opportunities to Companies existing Assets.
• Work with Projects and Engineering departments to develop technical solutions for new projects
• Build and review financial models for new projects and ensure companies minimum investment criteria are met for all projects
• Review legal documentation on all new projects (in liaison with Legal Dept.)
• Produce analysis of risks associated with new projects
• Present new projects in companies Investment Committees.

Project Finance:

• Develop relations with banks operating in the region.
• Secure SPV project financing and develop hedging strategy for Greenfield and M&A transactions on a non/limited recourse basis to optimize capital structure Negotiate terms with lenders
• Review legal documentation on all financing documents (in liaison with Legal Dept.)
• Ensure all CS and CPS are met in order to drawdown on loan.

JOB REQUIREMENT:

A. Minimum Qualification s

• Bachelor's Degree in financial management, economics or a related discipline.
• Master in Business Administration (MBA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is preferred

B. Minimum Experience:

• 8 - 10 years of relevant experience in either management consultancy, investment banking or corporate finance with a main focus on the District Cooling/Energy/Utilities/infrastructure sectors preferred.
• 2 - 4 years of supervisory experience.
• Development in sectors involving large capital investment decisions.
• Project Finance experience preferably in the GCC.
• Financial modelling experience.
• Experience of closing Project Finance and acquisition financing preferred.
