Job Description - Junior Trader - Fuel Desk

Responsibilities:
Work side by side with senior Fuel Traders (Market Making/OTC)
Learn proprietary methodologies and trading systems that support an established trading business
Real-time risk management in the form of trade entry and risk layoffs
Build and maintain trading models
Enhance existing trades; identify and pursue new opportunities
Liaise between trading group, internal company departments, and OTC relationships
Further responsibilities may be driven by the individual's interests and specific skills
Requirements:
Possess a strong work ethic and be able to learn quickly in a fast paced, high pressure environment
Strong communication skills; detail oriented, organized, and diligent
Strong interest in trading and energy markets
Strong understanding of math, probability, and statistics

Maintain composure and communicate clearly when under pressure
Ability to succeed working as part of a diversified team
Proficiency in Excel, VBA, SQL, Python, statistical modeling, or other programming a plus
Advanced aptitude for problem solving and multitasking
