We deliver professional services that support the University’s strategic ambitions. We are seeking an enthusiastic Marketing Assistant to join our team at Dubai Campus.

Job Description

The post holder will work to ensure the service priorities and deadlines are met.  The work will be varied and will require the post holder to provide a fair, friendly, accurate, confidential and timely service.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Be responsible for assigned web edits using the HWU Content management system - including events and news.
• Use Hootsuite and various social media channels contribute to Heriot-Watt University’s social media presence Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, LinkedIn and other relevant social media channels. This will include content generation, daily interaction and management of customer enquiries. Engage and respond directly with fans and followers with a focus on building brand awareness creating awareness and increasing visibility of HWU in the social space.
• Develop and maintain high quality, accurate, dynamic content for the campus, digital (website CMS and CRM) and print channels including video, images, animations and copy. 
• Support marketing events by capturing and editing high quality photos that meet University marketing & communications needs - work outside of assigned hours may be required on occasion.
• Administrative or other marketing support to assist with the efficient running of the department, as and when required.

Essential Qualifications

• Formal education to degree level or equivalent. 
• Experience of developing and delivering creative content on social media, web CMS platforms and in print.
• Exemplary written and spoken English.
• Creative flair and keen attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills

Desirable Qualifications

• Degree in Business or Marketing 
• Experience of graphic designing and developing newsletters, ads and adverts.
