Job summary

MISSION:

Responsible for ensuring the successful execution of civil works, including site preparation, earthworks, foundations, and utilities, while adhering to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. This role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and the Client.

TASKS:

• Managing and coordinating on-site civil engineering activities, including site layout, grading, drainage, and utilities installation, to ensure compliance with project requirements and schedules;
• Supervising construction crews, subcontractors, and suppliers, providing technical guidance and support to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols;
• Conducting regular site inspections and quality control checks to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as needed;
• Reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and other project documentation, ensuring alignment with design intent and regulatory requirements;
• Collaborating with project managers and engineers to resolve technical challenges, mitigate risks, and optimize construction processes;
• Preparing progress reports, daily logs, and other project documentation to track site activities, expenses, and resource utilization;
• Participating in project meetings, safety briefings, and training sessions to promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement;
• Interfacing with the Client, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders to address concerns, provide updates, and maintain positive relationships.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field;
• 6+ years of experience in civil engineering, with specific experience in Oil & Gas or Infrastructure projects;
• Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and construction techniques;
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations, including API, ASCE, and ASTM;
• Knowledge of project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera is considered a plus;
• Experience with AutoCAD or other engineering design software is desirable;
• Fluent level of written and spoken English.
