• Developand implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets andincrease market share.
• Manage and coordinateevents, conferences, and banquets to ensure seamless execution andexceptional guest experiences.
• Cultivate andmaintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industrypartners to drive business growth.
• Oversee theplanning and execution of events, conferences, weddings, andbanquets to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guestexperiences.
• Collaborate with the marketingteam to create promotional materials and marketing campaigns toattract event bookings and increase brandawareness.
• Stay updated on industry trends,competitor activities, and market conditions to adjust strategiesand stay competitive.
• Coordinate with otherdepartments, such as F&B, operations, and housekeeping, toensure smooth coordination and communication for successfulevents.
• Represent Mercure Penang Beach atindustry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities topromote the hotel and generateleads.

Qualifications

• Provenexperience in sales and events management within the hospitalityindustry.
• Strong leadership skills with theability to motivate and develop ateam.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, andorganizational skills.
• Proficiency in MicrosoftOffice and event managementsoftware.
• Flexibility to work evenings,weekends, and holidays as required for events and clientmeetings.
