Job Description - Account Executive

Job description

We’re looking for an Account Executive to join our team. You’ll be an integral part of our endeavor to democratize GIS.

 

As part of our team, you’ll maintain & establish relationships with some of the biggest & most prestigious organizations in the region. We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about helping clients find the right-fit solution - someone who isn’t afraid to challenge prospects & clients.

 

This role is a full-cycle sales role so you will manage the entire sales cycle, from establishing a customer contact till signing a deal. You should be able to manage the inbound inquiries as well as prospect new business opportunities through prospecting activities. Account management is a key part of this role as a large percentage of our business comes from existing clients which is a testament to our client-focused approach.

 

Responsibilities and duties

Your day-to-day job looks like this:

  • Client Management
    • Have a regular cadence with our existing clients to ensure that we’re aware of their priorities and challenges
    • Stay on top of upcoming renewals & initiate upsell conversations in advance
  • Prospecting
    • Run prospecting campaigns to position SIME’s products and services
  • The Essentials
    • Ensure that all inbound inquiries are answered within 30 minutes
    • Keep all account, deal & contact information updated in our CRM
    • Keeping track of tenders & our responses to tenders including documentation such as bid bonds, performance guarantees etc.
    • Continuous learning - keeping up to date with trends by collaborating with our subject matter experts
    • Truly “own” your territory in terms of both region & product(s)
    • UAE-based - valid driving license

In addition to these daily responsibilities, you can expect to sometimes:

  • Represent the company at events
  • Liaise with alliance partners & resellers for key opportunities

 

For us, success is measured by client satisfaction. Revenue is a natural outcome of keeping clients happy & effectively communicating our value proposition.

 

Requirements

Our must-have requirements are:

  • At least 3 years of experience in software sales
  • Trained in consultative selling 
  • A self-motivated, growth-minded individual
  • Minimum BSc/BA in IT, Business Administration or Marketing

If you meet these criteria in addition to the list above, you will probably be one of our top candidates.

  • Existing demonstrable experience in selling Google, Satellite & Aerial Imagery
  • You have worked in the GIS industry
