Accountant

Job description / Role

A group of SME subsidiaries based in Dubai concerning real estate, engineering and tech services require a new addition to the finance team. Reporting to the Group Finance Manager you will be involved in the full finance process from initial journal entry all the way through to assistance with year-end audit preparation. You will be required to process all entries, update AR and AP invoices and reconciliations, and support the Finance Manager with the processing of balance sheets and income statements, all to IFRS protocols. You will also assist in the management of pre-payments and accruals, maintain the fixed asset register, prepare monthly and annual year end closings and VAT and Corporate Tax filings. It is expected that the successful accountant will have a firm grasp of financial reporting and compliance deadlines. Reports are collated regularly and you should possess strong excel skills and a good knowledge of ERP systems.

Requirements

We are seeking a finance graduate with a minimum of 2 years of industry experience in a similar fast paced finance role. Motivation and an energetic approach are required, as this is an ever-changing SME. Ideally you will also possess ACCA or CIMA qualifications and be available with a maximum 1 month notice period.
