Analyst - IT Solutions (Travel Domain)

Job Purpose

Provide techno-functional support for corporate travel technology solutions, including GDS platforms, Online Booking Tools (OBTs), API integrations, B2B/POS systems, and expense management solutions. Partner with business teams, customers, and vendors to deliver system enhancements, resolve technical issues, and support project implementation while ensuring solutions align with business requirements and operational objectives.

Key Result Responsibilities

• Act as the primary techno-functional point of contact for travel technology solutions, facilitating effective communication between internal business teams, technical teams, external customers, vendors, and implementation partners. Gather requirements, provide functional guidance, resolve issues, and ensure successful delivery of business and technical objectives. 


• Support, maintain, and troubleshoot travel technology solutions built on Global Distribution Systems (GDS), including Travelport, Amadeus, and Sabre. Investigate functional and technical issues, coordinate with vendors where required, and ensure system stability, performance, and service continuity. 


• Support the integration, configuration, and maintenance of Air and Non-Air APIs by working closely with development teams and third-party providers. Assist in validating integrations, troubleshooting interface issues, and ensuring seamless connectivity between internal systems and external travel service providers. 


• Provide techno-functional support for the implementation, configuration, enhancement, and maintenance of Online Booking Tools (OBTs) for corporate customers. Ensure solutions are aligned with client travel policies, operational requirements, and best industry practices while supporting user adoption and issue resolution. 


• Support the development, enhancement, testing, and maintenance of online B2B portals and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems by collaborating with business users, developers, and vendors to improve functionality, user experience, and operational efficiency. 

Key Result Responsibilities-Continued

• Perform analysis and maintenance of corporate travel data, including customer profiles, travel policies, negotiated rates, supplier information, and reporting data. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across travel management systems. 


• Support the implementation, integration, configuration, and ongoing administration of expense management solutions, such as SAP Concur or equivalent platforms. Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve system issues, support enhancements, and ensure smooth integration with travel booking and financial systems. 


• Partner closely with corporate travel business teams to understand operational processes, identify business needs, and translate functional requirements into practical technology solutions. Prepare functional specifications, support solution design, and ensure delivered solutions meet business objectives. 


• Apply project management principles to plan, coordinate, monitor, and deliver technology initiatives by managing project schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communications to ensure timely and successful project execution. 


• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect tracking, issue resolution, and change management activities across business users, technical teams, vendors, and customers. Ensure testing is completed successfully, implementation risks are mitigated, and system changes are deployed with minimal business disruption.

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field


• Solid understanding of GDS systems – Travelport, Amadeus, Sabre (scripting/command knowledge not required, but a plus).


• Working knowledge of Air/Non-Air APIs (technical).


• Hands-on exposure to Online Booking Tools (OBT, B2B).


• Strong corporate travel business experience – mandatory.


• Demonstrated project management capability.


• Basic SQL/database querying skills.


• Programming language such as Python, C# is good to have


• Familiarity with ticketing/ITSM tools (JIRA, ServiceNow, or similar).


• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.


• Good documentation skills (BRD/FRD, SOPs, process notes).


• Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.


• Collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Work Experience

• With 4-6 years of experience preferably within travel technology or large travel companies.


• Experience with expense management platforms, especially SAP Concur or similar.
