Analyst/Associate, Individual Retail Sales

Purpose

Establish and develop a real-time trade support function to handle all pre and post trade administrative tasks relating to client order flow.

Responsibilities

1. Guide clients through the different processes in their relationship with the firm: opening of account, daily servicing, and guidance on products.
2. Conduct sales and trading calls on a weekly basis to promote the firm’s products.
3. Contact potential clients to promote the desk’s different services, and work on strengthening their relationships with them.
4. Oversee the pre-trade processing and establishment of new accounts for the UAE (expansion to include regional accounts at a later stage).
5. Establish an improved workflow for post-trade queries. Review and enhance current support workflows to streamline client order flow.
6. Work closely with the Operations team to ensure that new or amended support functions run smoothly and are not in conflict with the Group’s standard procedures.
7. Review and confirm the authority to transfer and handle the transfer of shares within the UAE for orders received.
8. Act as a liaison in the establishment of new client accounts, handle all pending and unsettled client requests (such as requests to update or amend documentation for new entities), and tailor individual client requirements.
9. Analyse the relevant relationships between teams (settlements, operations, trade support, etc.) in different situations and create ownership groups to foster close ties and increase engagement with counterparts.
10. Responsible for the entry and update of any SWORD activity.
11. Ensure compliance with all applicable AML/CTF rules and regulations as required in the conduct of the role.
12. Ensure timely completion of all relevant AML/CTF training provided by the Group.
13. Ensure response to AML, CTF & sanctions inquiries in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
2. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
3. Can understand and proactively address different clients’ needs.
4. Good understanding of stock market concepts and dynamics.
5. Willingness to learn and conduct research to understand external influences on the relevant markets.
6. Creative, with the ability to enhance processes and provide new ideas.
7. Excellent planning and organizational skills.
8. Excellent command of Arabic and English.
9. Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
10. Able to build partnerships and work well in teams.
11. Can identify problems, make necessary decisions and refer/escalate complex issues to a higher level.
12. Detail oriented; ensure deliverables are always of a high quality.
13. Multi-tasker, with the ability to meet changing deadlines.
14. Flexible in handling of new tasks.
15. Can manage pressure, conflicting demands, and prioritize tasks and workload.
