We are currently seeking a talented Application Analyst to join our dynamic team based in our Dubai office. The employee will play a key role in supporting our IMOS VESON users and providing support, assistance and technical troubleshooting for the IMOS application in Norvic Environment.

The role will involve collaborating closely with chartering, operations and marine accounting team to ensure smooth optimal utilization of the system. Hands-on knowledge and understanding of the day-to-day workflows of end users is critical to be successful in this role.

User Training and Onboarding: Conduct training sessions to onboard new users to the IMOS Veson system, ensuring they understand its functionalities and features.

System Maintenance and Configuration: Assist in configuring and customizing the IMOS Veson application to meet the specific needs of dry bulk operations and related teams. Perform regular systems maintenance tasks, including reviewing updates, patches and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.

User Support and Assistance: Serve as the primary point of contact for users seeking assistance or guidance on effectively using the IMOS Veson application. Respond promptly to user inquiries, requests and issues, providing timely and courteous support. Work closely with users to understand their requirements and challenges, offering tailored solutions and recommendations.

Technical support: Provide first line support for users encountering technical issues with the IMOS Veson application. Troubleshooting problems, identifying root causes and implement effective solutions.

Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong working relationships with stakeholders across chartering, operations and marine accounting teams, understanding their workflows and requirements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in the shipping industry and operations, preferably in application support, business super user, or similar technical role.
• Good understanding of the shipping industry, particularly in operations, is essential for the success of the role.
• In-depth knowledge of the IMOS Veson application, including its configuration, functionalities, and best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Experience in Business Intelligence Reporting, Database Management and API is an added advantage.
• Ideally with a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business administration or maritime industry.
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification or training in IMOS Veson application support is a plus.
