Applied Behavior Analysis Therapist (UAEN)

ABA Therapist provides individualized behavioral therapy to children and individuals with developmental and behavioral needs. The therapist implements evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs under the supervision of a BCBA or other qualified clinical supervisor.

• Implement individualized ABA treatment plans and behavior intervention programs.
• Work directly with clients to develop communication, social, academic, daily living, and self-help skills.
• Use positive reinforcement and other evidence-based behavioral strategies.
• Collect and accurately record data on client progress and behavior.
• Support clients in reducing challenging or inappropriate behaviors.
• Follow treatment protocols and recommendations provided by the supervising clinician.
• Communicate regularly with supervisors, parents, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and clinical supervision.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment.

Adjust teaching strategies as directed by the supervising clinician based on client progress and data

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Behavioral Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is an advantage.
• Knowledge of ABA principles and behavioral intervention techniques.
• Strong communication, patience, empathy, and observation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to complete required ABA training and supervision.

Relevant certification, such as RBT, is an advantage where applicable
