Edelman Smithfield UAE is looking for an experienced Arabic Editor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in shaping narratives for high-profile clients, translating and localizing content that ranges from press releases to social calendars, and ensuring that every word reflects cultural nuance and strategic intent. You’ll work closely with a collaborative team to bring ideas to life, contribute regional insight to creative campaigns, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines. Responsibilities:
- Draft original Arabic copy based on client briefs be it press releases, social calendars, or other related materials
- Translate copy from English into Arabic and vice versa
- Collaborate with the team to develop, produce, and deliver projects for the company
- Turn around deliverables of quality work quickly and efficiently
- Localize and not just translate content especially creative concepts
- Contribute to campaign ideation offering a regional perspective
Ideal candidates possess the following qualities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (both English and Arabic), with a focus on quick response time
- Effective problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Adaptability; able to succeed in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment
Requirements of this position include:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience
- Significant experience in copywriting for a corporate audience
- Solid portfolio of previous of copy and translation samples
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Candidate must have understanding of the Public Relations industry
- Ability to handle multiple projects at different stages of completion.
- Strong command of language and communication skills.
