Purpose of the function:
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for the sale and specification of the Wilo range of products. The successful candidate will develop and maintain relationships with customers, provide technical support and expertise, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Main accountabilities:
In addition to the below-mentioned tasks, other activities and responsibilities may be individually defined.
Set and achieve sales goals and quotas.
Provide technical support in own field of competence and in a timely manner to all customers and the company's service organization, sales force, and sales management.
Generate high-quality sales leads and maintain regular communication with key customers in the territory. Make direct, in-person sales call, carry out field visits, and respond quickly and thoroughly to customers' inquiries.
Prepare and create technical and sales offers for clients at market price level according to current sales policy.
Liaise with PBUs/Competence Centers/Logistics/Customer Service about pump assembly, product modifications, delivery, and commissioning.
Collaborate with other departments within the company, on the
subject of complex application or tender support, to ensure customer satisfaction. Identify and develop new business opportunities within the pump industry by prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing sales.
Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
Solicit and log client feedback. Identify areas for improvement and communicate these issues as well as possible solutions to upper management.
Candidate Profile:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
5-7 years' experience in pump industry or related products and applications-specific knowledge
Strong technical knowledge of Building Services products and related systems.
Strong customer service focus, sense of urgency to meet or exceed customer expectations, and achieve daily commitments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Proficient in the use of ERP systems, Microsoft Office including MS Excel, SAP and product sizing software.
