Assistant Manager Financial Control

Urgent requirement forcin banking domain  is required for our banking client in Sharjah ,UAE

Role PurposeSupport the Finance Division in maintaining and enhancing the ICFR framework by independently testing and evaluating General IT Controls (GITCs), IT Application Controls (ITACs), Interface Controls, and Information Produced by the Entity (IPE). Ensure control effectiveness, identify deficiencies, and support remediation to strengthen financial reporting integrity.Key Responsibilities

• Perform ICFR IT control testing (design & operating effectiveness).


• Document walkthroughs, risk/control assessments, and testing workpapers.


• Test GITCs: user access, privileged access, segregation of duties, change management, IT operations.


• Validate ITACs: system configurations, workflows, calculations, reports.


• Assess interface controls & data integrity (accuracy, completeness, timeliness).


• Support internal/external audits with evidence and documentation.


• Report deficiencies, track remediation, and prepare management updates.

• Skills Sets


• Strong requirements gathering & documentation.


• Hands-on experience in GITC, ITAC, Interface Controls, IPE testing.


• Proficiency in SQL, database concepts, and data analysis.


• Knowledge of ICFR, COSO, COBIT frameworks.


• Experience with core banking systems, ERP (SAP/Oracle/Finacle).


• Audit coordination & stakeholder management.


• Professional certifications preferred: CISA, CIA, CPA, ACCA, CRISC, CISSP.


• 4–7 years in IT Audit, ICFR/SOX Compliance, IT Risk, or Risk Advisory.


• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
