POSITION SUMMARY


Ensure that the warehouse operations are running as per the best practices defined by Nestle legal compliance meeting safety, quality, hygiene and environment needs while effectively managing warehouse resources to deliver the right quality at the right place & time. A DAY IN THE LIFE …



  • Ensure all inbound and outbound materials comply with established Quality, Food Safety, and SHE policies and procedures. Verify that all trucks meet hygiene, safety, and legal requirements before loading or off-loading, and report any deviations with documented evidence to the Transport team. Ensure mandatory safety and quality checklists for vehicles, equipment, storage locations, and warehouse operations. Ensure loading and off-loading efficiencies are achieved according to defined targets while maintaining safe working practices. Maintain inventory accuracy at 99.8% throughout the business year through effective stock control and cycle count. Coordinate with QA to ensure timely material release to support uninterrupted production and optimize Asset Intensity. Ensure full compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety standards, warehouse safety regulations, and internal audit requirements, while driving corrective and preventive actions for identified quality and safety gaps.



  • Provide the team with a safe workplace by ensuring that the areas are clean and clearly marked. 5S & Nestle Good Warehousing Practices are maintained at the workplace and every day’s audit is ready. Ensure safety requirements of all employees are with accordance to Nestle and Legal compliance and enforce personnel hygiene. Ensure that risk assessments are up to date, risk predictions are made when it is required. Monitor the database of the team members to validate the expiry date of their certifications and licenses.


 



  • Use the 3rd party warehouse as an overflow facility and keep the factory warehouse utilized to achieve lower costs of the 3rd party warehouse in addition to the operations flexibility for higher warehouse efficiencies and productivities. Ensure frequent visits to the 3rd party warehouse to audit the Nestle practices are being practiced in full force. Ensure the cost per pallet being charged by 3rd party warehouse and able to make a cost comparison to take the most effective decisions.


 


 



  • Manage and lead the warehouse team in accordance with PDP (People Development & Performance) requirements, including performance evaluations, calibration sessions, and the development of individual growth plans with clear and measurable goals. Conduct regular check-ins and one-on-one discussions to provide constructive feedback, performance coaching, and guidance on development areas to support successful year-end reviews. Identify training needs and ensure team members receive the necessary functional, safety, quality, and leadership training to enhance their skills and performance. Actively coach and mentor employees to improve competencies, build capability, and promote a culture of continuous learning and development. Support succession planning by helping employees identify career progression opportunities, preparing development plans, and providing hands-on coaching to enable readiness for future roles within the organization.


                                   


 


What will make you successful…



  • Ideally educated to degree standard

  • Minimum 3 years' experience, of which at least 2 years are in a supervisory role within warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations.

  • Experience conducting safety observations, risk assessments, and compliance audits with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong understanding of inventory control processes, including cycle counts, stock reconciliation, FEFO, and inventory accuracy management.

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across Production, Quality, Procurement, and Transportation teams.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and experience using ERP systems such as SAP is preferred.

  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a fast-paced operational environment.

  • Ability to work under pressure, make sound decisions, and drive accountability within the team.

  • Warehouse/ Supply Chain Management Diploma/Certification will be an advantage.
