Job Description - Assistant Procurement Manager-- Civil EngineeringConstruction

  • Developing procurement strategiesthat are inventive and cost-effective.
  • Sourcingand engaging reliable suppliers andvendors.
  • Negotiating with suppliers and vendorsto secure advantageous terms.
  • Reviewingexisting contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-goingfeasibility.
  • Building and maintaining long-termrelationships with vendors andsuppliers.
  • Approving purchase orders andorganizing and confirming delivery of goods andservices.
  • Performing risk assessments onpotential contracts and agreements.
  • Controllingthe procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term savingon procurement costs.
  • Overseeing and managingthe IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply ofgoods.
  • Preparing procurementreports.
