About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Assistant Vice President to join our Life Actuarial team. The role offers exposure across product pricing, valuation, IFRS 17 reporting, regulatory reporting, and business profitability analysis. The candidate will work closely with Product, Finance, Operations, and regional Life Insurance teams to support business growth and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pricing, development, and regulatory filing of life insurance products.


• Perform actuarial valuations and contribute to statutory, regulatory, and management reporting.


• Support IFRS 17 reporting, including GMM and VFA methodologies.


• Analyze profitability and expenses at product, channel, and line-of-business levels.


• Provide actuarial support for new product launches and enhancements to existing products.


• Prepare experience studies, management information, and ad hoc actuarial analyses.


• Collaborate with life insurance teams across subsidiaries on actuarial and business initiatives.


• Maintain and enhance actuarial models, tools, and reporting processes.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of actuarial experience in the UAE / GCC life insurance market.


• Several actuarial examinations successfully completed.


• Experience in life insurance product pricing and regulatory submissions.


• Experience supporting valuation and financial reporting processes.


• Knowledge of IFRS 17, including GMM and VFA.


• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Technical Skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.


• Preferred hands-on experience with Prophet and Alteryx


• Strong data analysis, modelling, and reporting capabilities.

Location: Dubai, UAE

Experience: 5-6 years of experience in GCC

Qualification: Progressing towards an actuarial qualification (Fellow or equivalent) with associateship (AIA/ASA) from IFOA/SOA/IAI.
