Associate Director- Debt Origination & M&A Advisory, Corporate & Investment Banking Group

Job Purpose
•    To grow the Investment Banking Origination efforts across multiple products 
•    Focus on growing the Financial Sponsors coverage desk 
•    To play an active and integral role in working with the corporate banking teams’ to originate and structure transactions across the capital structure
•    Proactively come up with financing and/or advisory ideas for clients covered by the individual
    

Key Result Areas
•    Analyze capital structure of Investment Banking clients to originate transactions across the capital structure – loans, DCM & equity.
•    Propose structuring solutions to clients utilizing various products within IB, namely structured and/or syndicated loans, DCM and M&A. 
•    Collaborate with various stakeholders efficiently – corporate banking, credit, legal, documentation team etc.
•    Alongside the team work on idea generation and tailored pitches for sponsor-backed transactions, including acquisition financing, refinancings, dividend recaps and exits.
•    Develop and maintain relationships with Financial Sponsors to originate financing and advisory opportunities.
•    Selectively work on execution of certain IB transactions.
•    Working with the corporate banking team to identify M&A related opportunities. 
•    Effective pitches made to win M&A mandates for the bank (buy and sell side) and managing the execution of all M&A process.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
•    A strong multi product investment banking skill to analyze the entire capital structure of a client so as to propose a financing solution. 
•    Strong credit skills and a good blend of domestic and international market knowledge to size up risk both credit and commercial.
•    Advanced quantitative skills with in-depth knowledge of valuation methodologies and well-developed communication and presentation skills.
•    A proactive and energetic personality with the ability and desire to multitask.
•    The candidate will ideally be a business/management graduate and have a minimum of 10-14 years’ experience spent with one or more better known regional or global investment banks involved in similar nature of business.
