3. JOB PURPOSE:
- Support and execute end-to-end procurement activities in support of XRG's business objectives, ensuring effective sourcing, contracting, and supplier management in accordance with XRG and ADNOC procurement frameworks. The role contributes to value creation, compliance, and risk management whilst developing core commercial competencies and stakeholder engagement skills.
4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Job Specific Accountabilities
Procurement & Sourcing
- Execute and support end‑to‑end procurement activities, including sourcing strategy development, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and contract award.
- Ensure procurement activities deliver best value for money while maintaining compliance with governance, approval, and audit requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of category and sourcing strategies aligned with business needs, under the guidance of senior procurement professionals.
- Utilise digital procurement platforms and e-sourcing tools to support compliant and efficient sourcing activities.
Contracting & Commercial Management
- Assist in the preparation and review of commercial and contractual documentation in collaboration with Legal and business stakeholders, escalating complex matters appropriately.
- Support contract lifecycle activities, including tracking variations, extensions, and performance issues under guidance.
- Provide day-to-day commercial support to internal stakeholders on procurement and contractual matters, referring complex issues to senior colleagues.
Stakeholder & Supplier Management
- Support effective coordination between procurement, business users, Legal, Finance, and external suppliers.
- Assist in building and maintaining supplier relationships to support performance, continuity, and risk mitigation.
- Support assessment of supplier sustainability and ESG credentials as part of vendor pre-qualification and evaluation, in line with XRG and ADNOC responsible sourcing requirements.
- Support resolution of supplier performance or contractual issues as required.
Governance, Compliance & Improvement
- Ensure adherence to XRG and ADNOC procurement policies, procedures, and delegated authorities.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes, templates, and controls, and support the adoption of digital procurement tools and e-sourcing platforms.
- Support audits, reporting, and management information related to procurement activities, including data entry and analysis in procurement systems (e.g. SAP Ariba or equivalent).

6. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
Experience & Knowledge
- Typically 4–7 years’ experience in procurement, contracts, or commercial roles, preferably within energy, industrial, or large corporate environments.
- Strong understanding of procurement governance, sourcing methodologies, and contract management.
- Experience operating within structured approval and control environments.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
- Proven stakeholder management and communication capability.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Sound judgment, integrity, and risk awareness. Familiarity with digital procurement tools and ERP/procurement systems (e.g. SAP Ariba, Oracle, or equivalent) is an advantage.
Professional Certifications
- CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent certification preferred. Awareness of ESG and responsible sourcing frameworks as applied in the energy sector is desirable.
