ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are hiring an experienced Autonomy & Perception Engineer for a cutting-edge Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) project based in Abu Dhabi. Candidate must have strong marine domain experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design, develop and implement autonomy and perception algorithms for USV

- Work on Obstacle detection, Object tracking and Classification in marine environment

- Implement Sensor Fusion (Camera, LiDAR, Marine Radar, GPS, IMU, Sonar)

- Develop COLREGs-compliant path planning and collision avoidance algorithms

- Integrate and test perception stack on real USV platforms

- Perform field testing, data collection and performance validation at sea

- Collaborate with Navigation, Control and Hardware teams

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- 5+ years experience in Autonomy / Perception / Robotics

- Mandatory experience in Marine domain / USV / Autonomous Vessels

- Strong programming in Python / C++

- Expertise in ROS2, Linux, real-time systems

- Hands-on experience in Camera / LiDAR / Marine Radar integration

- Strong knowledge of Computer Vision - OpenCV, YOLO, Object Detection

- Knowledge of COLREGs, Sensor Fusion (Kalman Filter), SLAM, Path Planning

- B.E / M.E / http://M.Tech in Robotics, Electronics, Computer Science, Marine Engineering
