Backend Engineer - Python

A fast-growing fintech startup is scaling its infrastructure to support millions of users across the MENA region. They are building out their backend engineering team to develop secure, high-performance, and scalable systems.

You will

• Develop robust backend systems that are designed for scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability.

• Convert product requirements and technical designs into well-structured APIs and backend solutions.

• Create scalable data models and contribute to defining backend development standards and best practices.

• Support architectural decisions, technical roadmaps, and integration strategies across the platform.

• Experience as a founding engineer or early engineering team member is highly preferred.

• Strong backend development experience, ideally with Python. Experience with Go or Node.js is also welcomed. GCP experience is a plus

• Solid problem-solving skills and a strong understanding of system design.

• Proven ability to take ownership of complex projects from concept to deployment.

Compensation & Location

• AED 26,000–28,000 per month, plus equity.

• Based in Dubai.
