Bartender

Role summary: Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to recipe, while delivering engaging bar service and responsible serving.

Key responsibilities

• Mix and serve cocktails, mocktails, wines, beers, spirits and hot drinks to standard recipes and measures.
• Advise guests on the drinks menu and pairings, and upsell premium options.
• Set up and close the bar: garnishes, ice, glassware, juices and syrups.
• Control stock: requisitions, par levels, breakage and wastage logs, and daily counts.
• Process orders and payments through the POS.
• Serve alcohol responsibly within UAE law: verify guest age (21+) and refuse service to intoxicated guests.
• Keep the bar, equipment and glassware spotless and follow food safety standards.

Requirements

• 2+ years as a bartender in a hotel, restaurant or licensed venue.
• Strong knowledge of classic and modern cocktails, spirits, wine and beer.
• Responsible alcohol service training; mixology or WSET Level 1–2 an advantage.
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate and UAE Occupational Health Card.
• Good English and confident guest interaction.
• Accurate with cash and stock; able to work late nights, weekends and holidays.
