Job Summary

REAP HR & Recruitment Consultancy is recruiting an experienced and reliable Burger & Fries Cook for a food and beverage client in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience preparing and cooking chicken burgers, regular burgers, and French fries, with the ability to maintain consistent food quality, taste, presentation, and kitchen hygiene.

The selected candidate will be responsible for daily food preparation, grill and fryer operations, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring efficient service during busy restaurant hours.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Burger Preparation & Cooking

• Prepare and cook different types of burgers, including chicken burgers and regular burgers.
  
  


• Prepare fresh ingredients such as chicken, burger buns, vegetables, sauces, and toppings.
  
  


• Follow approved recipes, portion sizes, and cooking procedures.
  
  


• Ensure burgers are cooked thoroughly and presented according to restaurant standards.
  
  


• Maintain consistent food quality, taste, and presentation.
  
  

2. French Fries Preparation

• Prepare, fry, season, and serve French fries according to required standards.
  
  


• Operate deep fryers safely and maintain appropriate cooking temperatures.
  
  


• Monitor cooking times to ensure consistent crispiness and quality.
  
  


• Follow safe frying oil handling and maintenance procedures.
  
  

3. Kitchen Operations

• Operate grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment efficiently and safely.
  
  


• Organize ingredients and prepare workstations before service.
  
  


• Coordinate food preparation to complete orders on time.
  
  


• Maintain productivity and food quality during peak business hours.
  
  


• Minimize food waste through proper portion control.
  
  

4. Food Safety & Hygiene

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
  
  


• Follow proper food storage, labeling, and temperature-control procedures.
  
  


• Prevent cross-contamination between raw and cooked ingredients.
  
  


• Follow safe food handling procedures, particularly when preparing chicken.
  
  


• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations regularly.
  
  

5. Inventory & Team Coordination

• Monitor daily ingredient usage and report low stock levels.
  
  


• Assist with receiving and storing food supplies.
  
  


• Communicate effectively with kitchen supervisors and colleagues.
  
  


• Follow restaurant operational procedures and supervisor instructions.
  
  


• Maintain punctuality, discipline, and professional kitchen standards.
  
  

Requirements

Essential Experience

• Previous experience as a Burger Cook, Fast Food Cook, or similar kitchen professional.
  
  


• Must have practical experience preparing chicken burgers, regular burgers, and French fries.
  
  


• Strong knowledge of grill operations and deep-frying techniques.
  
  


• Ability to prepare food consistently during busy service periods.
  
  


• Understanding of food preparation, portion control, and kitchen organization.
  
  

Technical Skills

• Experience operating commercial grills and deep fryers.
  
  


• Knowledge of safe chicken handling and cooking procedures.
  
  


• Understanding of food hygiene, sanitation, and storage practices.
  
  


• Ability to follow recipes and maintain food quality standards.
  
  


• Basic ingredient inventory and stock management skills.
