Job Description - Business Development & Partnerships Associate

Fasanara Digital was established 7 years ago and is the crypto arm of Fasanara Capital, a 14year-old boutique alternative asset manager. We are a Quantitative Investment fund applying a scientific approach to investing in crypto assets. Our goal is to achieve exceptional risk-adjusted returns. We pursue a range of diversified and highly sophisticated investment strategies that seek to profit from inefficiencies in the market structure and range from market making to cross-exchanges arbitrage.

Role Overview

We are looking for an Associate to support the growth of our tokenisation and DeFi distribution efforts. This role will focus on originating and developing partnerships across DeFi, RWA, and digital asset ecosystems, while contributing to market intelligence and pipeline development.

The position is intended for candidates based in APAC. We are open to a range of locations including the UAE, Singapore, Hong Kong, and other key hubs in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and source new partnership opportunities across DeFi, RWA, tokenisation, and digital asset ecosystems
  • Build and maintain a structured, data-driven pipeline of qualified prospects
  • Conduct outreach and coordinate introductory discussions with internal stakeholders
  • Continuously map the DeFi, RWA, and tokenisation landscape, tracking protocols, allocators, and market developments
  • Monitor competitor activity and tokenised yield products to inform positioning
  • Support partnership materials, commercial proposals, and due diligence processes
  • Maintain CRM systems and structured internal reporting
  • Leverage AI tools to enhance research, ecosystem intelligence, and sourcing efficiency
  • Contribute to improving internal workflows and identifying opportunities to integrate AI into research, outreach, and reporting

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in DeFi, crypto, or digital assets, within business development, partnerships, or research roles
  • Strong understanding of tokenisation, real-world assets (RWAs), and DeFi lending/credit protocols (e.g. Aave, Morpho, Maple, Centrifuge)
  • Demonstrated ability to source and originate leads or partnership opportunities independently
  • Familiarity with DeFi protocols, governance models, wallets, and on-chain analytics tools
  • Understanding of on-chain yield strategies, stablecoins, and crypto credit markets
  • Awareness of institutional requirements such as KYC/AML, structuring, and custody
  • Strong communication skills and a commercial, relationship-driven mindset
  • Highly proactive, organised, and comfortable managing pipelines and structured data
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, evolving environment
  • Crypto-native mindset and active engagement in the ecosystem preferred
  • Familiarity with AI tools and workflow automation is a plus, with a strong interest in applying them to market research and sourcing
