Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor heart-lung machines and other perfusion equipment during cardiac surgeries.
• Manage cardiopulmonary bypass procedures to support surgeons in complex cardiac operations.
• Conduct equipment checks, calibration, and maintenance to ensure safety and reliability.
• Work closely with the surgical team, anesthesiologists, and nurses to coordinate patient care.
• Monitor patient’s vital signs and adjust perfusion parameters accordingly during surgery.
• Maintain accurate records of perfusion activities, machine settings, and patient responses.
• Stay updated with advancements in perfusion technology and techniques through continuous education.

• Degree or diploma in Perfusion Technology from an accredited institution.
• Certification or licensing as a Cardiac Perfusionist is preferred.
• Experience working in cardiac surgery and managing cardiopulmonary bypass.
• In-depth knowledge of perfusion equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols.
